Letters of Recommendation

To whom it may concern,

I had the wonderful opportunity to commission Dawn Record to create a life size sculpture in September, 2009. I wanted a memorial sculpture of our son, Andy, who died when he was 14 years old. After viewing some of Dawn's pieces she had already created, I knew she was the one to do it.

The process was fascinating and amazing. Dawn and I went through hundreds of pictures of Andy in an attempt to recreate his spirit and likeness. I relied on Dawn's natural ability to see what I could not see, to come up with the perfect pose and size.

Over the next few months, Dawn completely immersed herself in the project. The things I appreciated the most were her passion and her perfectionism. She created the perfect sculpture of our son. Not only is it a perfect replication of his face and body, it conveys his incredible "free spirit" as he runs in the wind. It makes me smile every time I look at Andy in my back yard.

I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone. She is an incredibly talented artist, and just an amazing person.
